I know a lot of you are heading to the tropics this Thanksgiving and Christmas (I'm trying to cook up something in January myself), therefore we must not neglect swimwear.
Don't get me wrong, teeny weeny polka dot bikinis always work well, but this time let's try on something new...actually a bit of old mixed with new. It's the classic bathing beauty look, which is once again inspired by Mad Men's quintessential 1960's wardrobe pieces. High-waisted bikini bottoms paired with hard-wire cup halter tops and bandeaus have become mandatory for those who prefer posh resorts.
If you're fearful of the trend, think of it this way: accessorizing becomes even more enjoyable when you're dressing up for a different era. Here are some of my favorite looks for inspiration.
